The Wheaton Sport Center now has a new Supervised Swim Procedure effective May 7, 2007. This system is in place to reinforce our policies and ensure the safety and supervision of all children in the pool during all times of Supervised Swim.
Every Child must be physically signed in and out by his/her parent.
Upon sign-in:
- Children who will be in the pool without a parent during supervised swim will be issued a Neon Blue wristband. Children with a Neon Blue wristband must stay in the Rec Pool (No swimming in Lap Pool) and may not leave the pool area without being signed out by their parent.
- Children who will be in the pool with a parent during supervised swim will be issued a White wristband. Children with White wristbands must be closely supervised by his/her own parent and may swim in the Lap Pool provided the parent is closely supervising and there are no other WSC programs or adults swimming.
The sign-in process will begin 10 minutes before the start of supervised swim with the lifeguard near the Aquatics's Desk.
Children may be signed in and out at any time through-out supervised swim
An annoucement will be made 10 minutes prior to the end of supervised swim reminding parents they must sign their child out by the end of supervised swim and no later.
